Corrections Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Our commitment

We aim to get every fact right. When we don't, we correct it quickly and transparently. This page documents what we changed, why, and when.

How corrections work

When an error is identified — by us, a reader, or a manufacturer — we follow this process:

  1. Assess severity: Does the error affect a buying decision (material) or is it cosmetic (minor)?
  2. Fix immediately: Material errors are corrected as soon as verified. Minor errors are batched and fixed within a reasonable timeframe.
  3. Document: The correction is recorded in the log below with the date, article, what was wrong, and what was changed.
  4. Identify the cause: We check how the error escaped our fact-checking process and tighten the relevant step so the same mistake doesn't recur.

No corrections have been issued yet. When we make one, it will appear here in full.

How to report an error

If you spot an error — a wrong specification, a broken comparison, a misattributed claim — please tell us. Email hello@comparesmartdevice.com or use our contact page. Include the article URL and the specific claim you believe is incorrect. We will investigate and respond.

Transparency

Material corrections are noted both on this page and at the top of the affected article. We do not silently change facts without leaving a record. If a correction involves removing a product from a comparison, we explain why rather than pretending it was never there.
