Suction vs spray systems

Window cleaning robots hold themselves to the glass with suction and move in a programmed path. Some models also spray water or cleaning solution onto the pane ahead of the squeegee pass; others are suction-only and rely on the wipe material. Which system fits depends on the surface and the manufacturer's published guidance — where a model's spray capability is not published, we record that gap instead of guessing. Check the spec sheet on each product page.

Safety cords & framing

Window robots work at height. Most manufacturers ship a safety cord that must be anchored to a fixed point (window frame, wall anchor, or similar) before the robot is placed on the glass, and many include a battery backup so the robot holds suction during a power loss. Placement and anchoring rules are manufacturer-specific: this site only reproduces guidance published by the manufacturer, and where none was retrieved we direct you to the manual shipped with the unit. We do not improvise safety advice.

Glass types & thickness

Manufacturers publish minimum glass thickness and, in some cases, minimum pane dimensions for their robots. Frameless or oversized panes, tempered glass, and mirrored or shower-door surfaces each have their own compatibility rules. Where a manufacturer publishes these limits, they appear on the product page with their source; where not, the field is labeled rather than filled with a guess.

How we rank and what "sponsored" means here

Our grid order is computed from specification fields only (subtype, then recorded model identity). Creator Connections campaign membership is kept in separate dated sidecar files; campaign products carry a Sponsored badge and a commission line, and a campaign never changes a rank. Deal codes and prices are point-in-time records with their recording date and campaign end date printed next to them — they are not live offers, and they disappear from the page automatically when a campaign window ends.
